Prevent Violence Against Women & Girls & Domestic Abuse

Our mission is to help prevent violence against women and girls, forming alliances with relevant public and private companies in the City of London to create a framework which can ultimately be adopted nationally.

The Impact of VAWG

1 in 4

women were assaulted or raped as an adult

Only 7%

of women feel very safe after dark

2 out of 3

29%

1.5 Million

This is an ongoing initiative, co-founded by Don Randall MBE, the Chairman of the City of London Crime Prevention Association (CoLCPA). It is a collective effort to address the pressing issue of violence against women and girls (VAWG). Our Safer City addressing Prevent VAWG and DA was launched in November 2023 to coincide with Professor Michael Mainelli’s year as Lord Mayor.

Partnerships

This ongoing initiative is groundbreaking in its approach, creating partnerships to prevent violence against women and girls.
