Staying Safe This Festive Season – Our Safer City Campaign

As the festive season begins, it’s a time for celebration, connection, and enjoyment.
However, it’s also a time to remain mindful of safety and look out for one another.
That’s why the Prevent Violence against Women and Girls and Domestic Abuse
Consortium – Our Safer City – is launching its campaign: Staying Safe this Festive
Season.

Over the next four weeks, we will be working alongside our partners to share advice
and raise awareness about the support services available to help everyone enjoy the
festive season safely.

The Our Safer City consortium brings together organisations from the public, private,
and charitable sectors. Together, we have been working throughout the year to
promote safety, foster community resilience, and tackle important issues like
domestic abuse and violence prevention. This campaign builds on that commitment,
encouraging responsible celebration and respectful interactions during this fun but
busy and often stressful time.

What to Expect from our Festive Campaign

Throughout the campaign, we’ll spotlight the incredible work of our partners, sharing:

  • Safety tips to help individuals and communities stay safe while out celebrating.
  • Support services available for those who may need them during the festive season.
  • Partnership initiatives designed to promote safety in our city.

We encourage everyone to get involved by sharing our posts and spreading the message to friends, colleagues, and family members. Together, we can help ensure a safer and happier festive season for all.
