Help for anyone feeling vulnerable on a night out
The Ask for Angela initiative supports those who feel vulnerable on a night out. It is a discreet way to ask for help, by simply Asking for Angela at participating venues. Trained staff provide support, such as getting a taxi or alerting security or the police if needed.
WAVE training for Ask for Angela
The WAVE Programme educates staff on customer welfare and vulnerability, utilising Ask for Angela campaign materials. It aims to prevent and reduce sexual violence, vulnerability, and other harms by providing staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify and address these issues.
WAVE Training enhances the abilities of those in customer-facing roles to recognise vulnerability and make appropriate interventions.
Venues who have participated in WAVE and or “Ask for Angela” training will have posters around the venue. Remember not all venues may of have been trained.
