Prevent Spiking

Combatting a dangerous crime to protect our community.

Spiking is a serious crime that involves secretly adding drugs or alcohol to someone’s drink or body without their knowledge or consent. This practice can lead to further violence, especially against women and girls. We are dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources to prevent spiking.

Understanding Spiking

Spiking can occur by adding drugs or alcohol to drinks, injecting drugs using needles, or placing drugs in body orifices. Its effects include disorientation, memory loss, unconsciousness, and long-term trauma.

Protecting
Yourself

Always keep your drink with you, use devices like StopTopps or Spikeys.

Be cautious of drinks from strangers, and stay with trusted friends while socialising.

If You Suspect Spiking

Seek help from venue staff or security.

Call 999 if symptoms are severe, report the incident to the police, and preserve any evidence such as the suspected drink.
