Could your venue or business premises be a Safe Haven?
Safe Havens are a practical way for businesses to let people know that a form of support is easily available if they need help. Shops, cafes, pubs, libraries, and other places of interest can register to be officially known as Safe Havens.
Venues need to offer access to water (bottled if needed), electricity, Wi-Fi or a landline phone, a mobile charging point, seating, and a toilet. Free staff training is provided to ensure confidence in supporting vulnerable individuals.
Training to staff will be offered for free to enable them to feel confident in dealing with members of the public.
Safe Havens will be signposted/recognisable with door/window stickers at each venue and will also be included in any digital communications for the public to identify the location of the Safe Havens.

The Safe Haven App is a free, user-friendly tool designed to help you stay secure while out and about. It helps you find and request assistance from the network of Safe Haven locations. The app can be downloaded to any mobile device.
