Supporting Awareness Campaigns
Championing awareness to build a safer city
We support trusted national campaigns that empower individuals and raise awareness of safety issues, from preventing drink spiking to offering discreet help when it’s needed most.
Training from Stamp Out Spiking focuses on prevention and response to drink spiking.
The Ask for Angela initiative provides discreet support for anyone who feels unsafe on a night out.
Help for anyone feeling vulnerable on a night out
Ask for Angela supports people who feel unsafe or vulnerable on a night out. By discreetly asking for “Angela” at participating venues, anyone can signal to staff that they need help without drawing attention.
Trained staff know how to respond quickly and appropriately — whether that’s arranging a safe taxi home, contacting security, or involving the police if required. The initiative helps ensure that people can enjoy their night with the reassurance that support is available if they need it.
Training to prevent and respond to drink spiking
Stamp Out Spiking helps venues prevent and respond to drink spiking. Staff receive training to recognise the signs, take action quickly, and support anyone who may have been targeted.
This includes knowing how to intervene safely, provide immediate help, and call on security, emergency services, or arrange safe transport when needed. The training ensures venues can act with confidence and protect people on a night out.
